Here’s how you make a smoothie in the QuirkyKitchen.ie manner:
Take a handful of strawberries or other berries of your choice. Frozen berries are fine for this purpose. Peel and chop up a small banana. Stick ‘em in a blender. Add a few scoops of vanilla ice-cream or frozen yoghurt. Add a splash of milk, or if you’re feeling healthy half fat milk. Go light on the milk at first: you can always add more to thin it out if it’s too gloopy. Add a blob of honey. Blend. Yum!  Continue reading »

You will Need:· 1 cup butter· 2 cups white sugar· 3 eggs· 3 teaspoons vanilla extract· 3 cups plain flour· 1 teaspoon baking powder 10 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
