Extra Large Pumpkin – In the spirit of fall, and of course Halloween, we wanted to talk about a awesome world record. Breaking the world record for biggest pumpkin is a squash grown by Wisconsin’s Chris Stevens. It weighs more than 1,800 pounds and will be on display at The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) until Halloween. Milano today launched their Christmas campaign which sees the restaurant join forces with Oxfam to launch a campaign which aims to raise over €150,000 for the charity during the festive season.
Milano is encouraging customers to shop at Oxfam this Christmas by offering them a €5 reward to spend at any Milano when they spend €5 at an Oxfam shop.  Continue reading »

A new gourmet coffee shop has opened on Tara Street in Dublin’s city centre, and they are offering €1 coffees for people who work in the area until November 6th. Nick’s Coffee Company is at 7 Tara Street, and I can vouch that the coffee is delicious.

From the same chemistry lab that brought us Desperados, Heineken France present Adelscott. The tagline “Bière aromatisée au Malt à Whisky” might lead one to believe that this is an innocent affair, made using a whisky malt. Marston’s produce something similar brewed with Golden Promise and it’s quite harmless. Except there’s more to the aromatisée here than just malt.
